When Molly is at the studio, you can feel it. Her laugh and her drive motivate people in and out of the studio and we are so lucky that she took the leap to become one of our newest instructors. She inspires others not only with her hustle, but with her own fitness story. Did you know that over the last two years, Molly has lost and kept off over 60 pounds?! She’s proof that hard work, dedication and commitment to your goals will ALWAYS pay off. You can catch her on Tuesday nights in Wakefield. So, without further ado – here is Molly Gram!
How did you hear about Sweat Fixx, and what made you interested in being a part of the team?
Through my job at Lululemon! Fun Fact – Elise is one of our store ambassadors! We had a March Madness competition on our team, we got the most points for getting to ambassador classes. So naturally, I wanted my team to win, which is what brought me in to take my first Sweat Fixx class. No surprise, I was hooked from the first workout! Over the next few weeks, even after our little competition, I kept coming back. The workout, the community and the team is incredible!
I never expected to become an instructor anywhere, but when Elise posted on her Instagram that they were looking for new instructors, I decided to take the risk and get out of my comfort zone. Man, I am glad I listened to that little voice in my head saying “just go for it. What’s the worst that can happen? You’ll never know unless you try!”
What keeps you coming back?
The people, the workout, the sense of community… I could go on if you let me! I dabble in all types of workouts and have been to a fair amount of studios (More than I would like to admit). With many studios, you are there for the workout. You come, you sweat, you go. There’s just something special about this place and I’m sure anyone who has been to Sweat Fixx would agree. Support and motivation fill the air every time you walk into class. There is a real, genuine connection between the instructors and clients in this community. Who wouldn’t want to be a part of that?
When you aren’t at Sweat Fixx, where can we find you?
Lululemon at MarketStreet. Come play dress up with me and I’ll have you looking fierce for your next class! Or Trader Joe’s, I could spend a whole afternoon in there. Besides that, I love being social by being active. Running, paddle boarding, hiking, skiing, I am always up for anything!
Where is your favorite place to grab a quick snack?
-Sol Bean Cafe in Middleton. The mint chocolate chip smoothie…life changing.
Favorite guilty pleasure?
I don’t consider any food off limits or a guilty pleasure. BUT, if you get me to a By Chloe restaurant, I may or may not order at least 5 items off the menu.
What’s one thing about you, that people would NEVER guess?
I would consider myself a semi-professional carpool karaoke singer.
What’s one thing you are most proud of accomplishing int he past six months?
Becoming a Sweat Fixx instructor! If you told me even 2 years ago that I would be helping others become stronger and get closer to their fitness goals, my first reaction would probably be “How?”. Life is full of making choices and taking risks. I took the risk to get out of my comfort zone, by literally getting up on a “stage” and trying something that I had never done before in front of a bunch of strangers. That risk lead me to the #Fixxfam and I am forever grateful. I am proud to represent and be a part of such a supportive, inspiring community!
One piece of advice you would give to someone who is walking through the Sweat Fixx doors for the first time?
Know that you belong here! It doesn’t matter if you have never worked out a day in your life, or if you train 6 days a week. Work hard and have fun. The results and connections will follow!
Anything else you want to add?
I have had quite the fitness journey myself! At my heaviest weight, I suffered from depression, social anxiety and had very little confidence. Since discovering a vegan plant based lifestyle two years ago, I have lost and kept off over 60 pounds and have never felt better! I firmly believe that food is our fuel. My diet and lifestyle changes have truly transformed my outlook on life, relationships with others and most importantly, my relationship with myself. More on this in another blog!
