Something sweet is always necessary to have on hand! These energy bites are the perfect guilt-free snack when you are craving a sweet treat. They come together very quickly with healthy ingredients and store well in the refrigerator for a few days.
Grab one for some added fuel as you head to the gym or as an afternoon snack with some fresh fruit to satisfy your sweet tooth. If you’re not a fan of almond butter, you can really substitute any nut butter you like!
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups of old fashioned rolled oats
- ½ cup of ground flax seed
- 1 tablespoon of black chia seeds
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- ⅓ cup of unsweetened coconut flakes
- ½ cup of raw honey
- ½ cup of almond butter
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- ½ cup of dark chocolate chips
Directions:
- Mix all ingredient together in a large bowl.
- Form energy bite mixture into 1″ balls and place on parchment paper lined baking sheet.
- Cover and place in refrigerator for 2 hours.
- Serve!
