We are thrilled to announce this month’s bad ass member of the month and soon to be mama is….Arianna Sullivan! She is 37 weeks pregnant and has not stopped working out with us throughout this journey. She is such an inspiration to have in class, showing you can listen to your body and still crush a great workout. Her and her husband Brian have been long time Beverly clients and always bring such good vibes to the studio (#couplegoals) . We are lucky to have both of them in this community but today we wanted to highlight this mom to be- check out her Q&A below!
What caused you to first try Sweat Fixx? I missed having a competitive outlet for myself once I was no longer playing sports and had yet to find a workout class that really pushed me. I took my first row class with Jess in Southie and have been hooked ever since, that was 4 years ago! What’s one thing that you look forward to every time you come to a class? I love the community and all of the instructors, it feels like a second family there. What’s your favorite class and why? Grit FIXX! The class absolutely flies by and I always leave feeling so accomplished and sweaty. |
When you aren’t crushing it on the rower, where can we find you? Visiting local thrift shops, cuddling my dog Charlie, or rearranging my nursery drawers for the hundredth time. You are almost ready to pop! Why have you decided to workout and continue classes throughout your entire pregnancy? It was really important to me to keep up my routine so I could have a healthy and strong pregnancy and feel my best. The further you get along in pregnancy, the harder it is to get to class, but working out really does ease so many symptoms! |
What would you say to someone recently pregnant that is nervous about working out? Everything can be modified and taken at your own pace. There is no judgement at Sweat Fixx and as Elise always says during class “core is personal”, so you do whatever serves you during the workout and know that you are already doing great for you and your baby just by showing up. What is your favorite thing about having your husband as your workout buddy? It’s great that my husband loves the workout just as much as I do so I have an accountability partner. We also love an outlet to be competitive with each other and try to beat each others meters! One tip that you would give to someone who is coming to Sweat Fixx for the first time? Don’t be intimidated by the rower, it is way less scary than it seems! |
